The talk of the season has been Peacock's Friday the 13th prequel series, which stars Linda Cardellini as the rampaging antagonist Pamela Voorhees.   • ​​​​​​​Stephen Spielberg's Disclosure Day is a science fiction thriller film starring Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo. The story revolves around a meteorologist (Blunt) and a cybersecurity analyst (O'Connor) as they set out to prove that extraterrestrials truly exist. The secret they hope to break, however, is being protected by Firth's government contractor. Disclosure Day, which has a Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, was released in theaters on June 12, 2026, and will be available for unlimited streaming on Peacock for the first time on October 9th.

  • ​​​​​​​The big event of the season on Peacock is the arrival of the much-anticipated Friday the 13th prequel series, Crystal Lake. Set years before the events of the 1980 classic, this TV series stars Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, the mother of Jason Voorhees (Callum Vinson). The story picks up about a year after young Jason's tragic death at the titular camp, and revolves around Pamela's grief and dark secrets. While the slasher spirit will certainly be present for the TV prequel, the tone is described as being more on the paranoid thriller end of things. Essentially, this is Friday the 13th through an entirely different lens. The first season of Crystal Lake will consist of eight episodes, all of which will be available to binge at once on October 15th, exclusively on Peacock.

Crystal Lake is fittingly the thirteenth main installment in the Friday the 13th franchise.

Everything Coming To Peacock On October 24th

• Haunted Heist (2025)
  • Previously only available to rent or buy, Haunted Heist is finally getting a streaming home on Peacock near the end of October. This 2025 film is a change of pace from the platform's slasher and horror October arrivals. Created by and starring Lil Rel Howery, Haunted Heist features additional comedic performances from Tiffany Haddish, King Bach, Karlous Miller, and more.
• Newlyweds (2026)
  • While Peacock's October lineup prioritizes Halloween favorites, Newlyweds has snuck its way in there. This romantic sitcom revolves around an unlikely pair as they get married almost immediately after their whirlwind meet-cute. Blending their lives turns out to be far more complicated than tying the knot, however, and chaos thus ensues. Newlyweds stars Téa Leoni and Tim Daly as the central pair, with Jamie Lee Curtis in a recurring guest role as Daly's ex. New episodes premiere on NBC on Fridays beginning on October 24, and hit Peacock weekly on the following day.
