With over 1,000 unique species of Pokémon created since the franchise burst onto the scene back in 1996, it comes as no surprise that many of us have our favorites. However, there is also no denying that some Pokémon serve as the poster children of the franchise, with Pikachu, of course, leading the charge for this. That being said, Eevee has also become a familiar face over the past three decades, both their base form and their multiple evolutions (also known as Eeveelutions). Given Eevee's versaility (not to mention the fact they're adorable) it's little wonder Eevee has become such a huge hit with fans.
Now, with eight official Eeveelutions taking place throughout the many different video game adaptations that we have received over the years, Eevee is represented by all of the different Types. However, one artist has created a brand-new look for Eevee, and it is one that fans are hoping will make an appearance in future Pokémon games.
At the time of writing, Eevee has the following Eeveelutions:
- Vaporeon (Water-type)
- Jolteon (Electric-type)
- Flareon (Fire-type)
- Espeon (Psychic-type)
- Umbreon (Dark-type)
- Leafeon (Grass-type)
- Glaceon (Ice-type):
- Sylveon (Fairy-type)
However, with it having been well over a decade since the last Eeveelution took place in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, fans are hoping that another is just around the corner, and one post over on r/fakemon may just serve as some inspiration to Game Freak.
Courtesy of artist CaligoMilites, we can see Eevee as we have never seen them before with a brand-new Dragon-type evolution. Titled 'Draceon', the design is truly stunning, with the artist offering two different variations: normal and Shiny.
The dragon influence is clear to see here with sharp pointed wings and a long tail, not to mention the adorable horns, and CaligoMilites themselves took to the comments to share their thought process behind this fan-made Eeveelution.
Meet Draceon - Feline Dragon Pokémon Dragon Type
Draceon evolves when Eevee resonates with the power of a Dragon Scale. Its body stores ancient draconic energy, which manifests in its powerful wings and incredible speed. Despite its fierce nature, it remains deeply loyal to its Trainer. Draceon soars through the sky, chasing other Dragon-Type Pokémon to achieve greater strength. It is said that this Pokémon fights till it passes out. But it never collapses. Draceon faints in a battle-ready pose, trying to intimidate his foes till the very end.

As you can imagine, fans have been loving this take on a Dragon-Type Eevee, and took to the comments to share their thoughts on the concept art. "Oooo, this is the best dragon-type Eeveelution design I've come across!" The top comment reads. "I love the ears and the colour palette."
With many others admitting that this was the best Dragon-Type Eevee design that they have ever seen, it is safe to say that CaligoMilites has nailed the Pokémon that everybody would love to see added to the Nintendo franchise in the future.
