Coronation Street's Eva leaves chilling clue in aftermath of horror fall

Coronation Street's Eva Price has left a chilling clue about who was responsible for her accident in the aftermath of the horror fall.

In yesterday's (24 September) episode, Eva was left unconscious after being knocked down the stairs by Sam Blakeman, who pushed past her while searching for his phone.

Picking up where the ITV soap left off, tonight's (25 September) episode saw Sam crouching over Eva, terrified that he had killed her. After Eva groaned and moved, Sam was relieved, so he grabbed his phone and dashed out of the pub, leaving her behind.

As Nick and Toyah searched for Sam, a disoriented Debbie approached him and asked if he'd seen Carl. Sam directed Debbie to the Rovers, hoping she would find Eva and call an ambulance.

As Debbie surveyed the empty pub, she was horrified to see Eva lying unconscious at the bottom of the cellar steps. She hurried out to get help, but got confused and forgot to mention that she'd found Eva.

Later, Glenda found Eva and called an ambulance herself. When Ronnie told Debbie that there was an ambulance outside the pub, she suddenly remembered in horror that she had seen Eva.

As the paramedics reached Eva, her eyes flickered open, and Glenda said: "Eva, stay with us, sweetheart. Sweetheart, you're in the cellar, you fell." To Glenda's horror, Eva revealed that she was pushed.

In next week's scenes, Carl is taken in for questioning by the police over Eva's fall, though viewers know it was Sam who did it.

"The consequences of Eva's attack ripple through the Street," said our Corrie insider. "Even if it was an accident, whoever pushed her left her there all night without calling for help. Who would do something so unforgivable?"

"Ronnie and Kevin are convinced Carl robbed the pub. He's been hard-up for ages, so where did all this cash come from? Sweet and generous Carl is not the version they recognise!" they added.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
