Europe markets in red as renewed oil gains weigh on sentiment

London (UKX) -0.59%. UK house prices were unchanged year-on-year in September 2026, following a 0.4% decline in August.
Germany (DAX:IND) -0.95%. Germany’s industrial production rose 2.0% month-on-month in August.
France (CAC:IND) -0.79%, France's trade deficit narrows to €6.1B in August as imports fall faster than exports.
In other parts of Europe, the trade deficit in the Czech Republic widened to CZK 5.3B in August.
Construction output in the Czech Republic fell 1.4% Y/Y in August. Industrial production in the Czech Republic increased 2.6% Y/Y in August.
Norway’s manufacturing production fell 0.4% M/M in August.
Annual inflation in Sweden rose to 1.1% in September.
The annual inflation rate in Hungary rose to 1.6% in September.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 (STOXX) edged 0.47% lower to 633.6, snapping a three-day winning streak as renewed oil price gains, driven by concerns over further Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, outweighed relief from signs of recovering Middle Eastern oil supplies.
In the bond market, the U.S. bond was up 4 points to 5.31%.
UK's 10-year yield was up 5 basis points to 5.42%.
Germany's 10-year yield was up 2 basis points to 3.50%.
