As cooler days approach and autumn draws near, there's no better time to give your wardrobe a stylish refresh.

If you're looking for a one-stop shop, I recommend heading to John Lewis. Its latest collection is every bit as enticing as I had hoped, brimming with polished, sophisticated pieces spanning dresses, tailoring and accessories.

Alongside its in-house designs, John Lewis offers a selection of labels, including Reiss, Hush, Hobbs and Albaray, cementing its status as the ultimate destination for effortless style.

The brand also recently launched its second capsule collection with royal-favourite fashion designer, Amanda Wakeley, who famously dressed Princess Diana, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

This season, there's a distinctly regal mood running through the range. In fact, it's easy to imagine Princess Kate stepping out in many of the looks - from the stunning tartan kilt to the ruffle-neck blouse.

Scroll on to discover my top picks for recreating Kate's timeless style.

Monochrome grey

The Princess turned heads in an ultra-chic all-grey number in Sussex last week in not one but two high street buys.

Embrace the hue with these John Lewis finds and, if you don't want to go monochrome like Kate, you can pair grey with any of the princess's other favuorte colours like royal purple and rich green.

Kate's favourite high street coat

The fashion-forward royal's iconic Jigsaw coat has returned to John Lewis.

The autumn must-have has been going through a restock-sell-out cycle since the princess donned the style 12 years ago.

If the £425 price tag is a little out of your budget, John Lewis has plenty of alternative options that won't break the bank.

The perfect autumn shoe

She may have a wardrobe full of designer clothes, but there's no denying Kate loves the high street - case in point: her seasonal Boden loafers.

John Lewis stocks her exact pair in black as well as a tassle style in chocolate croc and tan.

Burgundy Beauty

John Lewis' new burgundy double-breasted coat caught my eye. The rich hue is one Kate has long favoured, and the universally flattering silhouette feels both modern and timeless.

Country Chic

Heritage chic is a style that Kate has long championed and can easily be recreated with John Lewis buys - think classic tailoring, tartan and timeless country-inspired pieces.

Pretty in purple

The royal proved that purple is the unexpected shade of the season at the premier of Tom Cruise's Digger, and John Lewis has many stylish buys in the bold hue.
