Police urgently seeking to identify a 'murdered' pensioner whose body was found dumped in a bin bag in a park are still unable to put a name to the 'woman in a pink T-shirt'.
Officers were called on Friday, August 28 after a member of the public made the grisly discovery in Stanley Park, Anfield, at around 5.25pm.
Since then, they have knocked on 625 doors and examined footage from 30 different cameras – but still do not know who she is.
The black bag containing the woman's remains had been placed within the walled garden of the park, near the Isla Gladstone conservatory, and it is believed she had been there for several weeks.
The woman, believed to be around 70, was found wearing a distinctive pink Nike T-shirt in the park, which lies between Liverpool FC's Anfield stadium and Goodison Park, the former home of Everton FC.
Her DNA has been examined but there is no match in national databases, and dental record checks have also not been possible.
Today police have issued a fresh appeal for information and say they have received reports from 160 members of the public.
A statement from the Merseyside force described the woman as 'white, believed to be around 70 years old, approximately 5ft 2in tall and of slight build, with strawberry blonde hair'.

They are asking anyone who believes they may know who she is, or who saw anything suspicious within the vicinity of the park, to contact them.
Officers have already eliminated 73 people from their enquiries after concerns were raised about individuals matching her description.
The police previously revealed that a post-mortem had taken place, but the woman's cause of death was not being made public 'for investigative reasons'.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector John Fitzgerald said: 'Our investigation remains ongoing and we remain determined to identify the woman and find the person or persons responsible for her murder.
'We are actively pursuing every call we receive to ensure that people are seen to be safe and well and can be eliminated from our enquiries.
'We are continuing to appeal for anyone who has been in the area of Stanley Park over recent weeks who has seen anything suspicious to contact us and also ask anyone who may have flown a drone over the park over the past couple of months to check their footage for anything significant.'
The force previously said: 'If you've had anyone in your life you have not seen in a while or have lost contact with who has a similar description to this woman, please get in touch.
'You will not be wasting our time or get into any trouble if it turns out not to be the same person.'
Visitors to the park said they were 'petrified' and 'shocked' that the woman's body had been found in such a public place.

James Hannah, 29, told the Daily Mail: 'I run in this park almost every day. It makes me sad that I might have run by her without knowing. I hope they find out who did it soon.
'It won't stop me running through the park.'
Janet Taylor, 55, added: 'It is shocking that the woman has been there for weeks. It is also scary that this happened so close to home. That poor woman!'
Dog walker Mike Willoughby, 43, said: 'Someone must know who she is. It's likely she is someone's mum or grandmother.
'Why has no one missed her? If she has been in the park for so long, someone must be missing her.
'It's frightening that someone was murdered but the saddest part for me is that no one has missed her.'
