The relic of St. Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint, will visit churches in Visayas from November 26 to December 6.

According to a CBCP News report, the relic is expected to visit churches in the Archdiocese of Cebu and the dioceses of Bacolod, Dumaguete, Kabankalan, San Carlos and Romblon.

It will be accompanied by Monsignor Anthony Figueredo, director of international affairs and custodian of the relic for the Diocese of Assisi, but organizers have yet to announce the final itinerary.

The first-class relic was Acutis’ pericardium, or a part of his heart, which had previously toured churches in Luzon in November and December 2025.

Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines president Lipa Archbishop Gilbert Garcera endorsed the pilgrimage, saying that St. Carlo Acutis continues to inspire Catholics, particularly the youth, to deepen their relationship with the Lord.

A British-born Italian who died aged 15, St. Carlo Acutis was canonized as the first millennial Catholic saint on September 7, 2026.

He learned computer code to build websites as part of evangelization. His story has drawn wide attention from Catholic youth, and he is now at the same level as Mother Teresa and Francis of Assisi. —RF, GMA News
