Coronation Street confirms threatening call mystery as Jodie plot returns

Coronation Street's Shona Platt is left shaken next week, when she answers a threatening call on her sister Jodie Ramsay's phone. But who is on the other end of the line?
With Jodie still nowhere to be found, Shona decides to answer her mobile, which she left behind at the Platts' before being rushed to hospital with a gunshot wound.

However, Shona is horrified when the caller becomes threatening, causing her stomach to flip…
"Jodie's disappearance is still a bizarre mystery," explains our Corrie spy. "Neither Shona nor David have the foggiest about where she could be, which is a scary prospect.
"So you can't blame Shona for answering Jodie's phone when it rings. It could be the difference between finding out where she is, and never knowing a thing!"
As soon as the call ends, Shona confides in her husband David about the worrying exchange.
It doesn't take long for the couple to wonder whether Jodie herself has dialled her own number for effect – after all, it's exactly the type of manipulative behaviour that she put their family through for months on end.

"This kind of strange phone call is straight from the Jodie playbook," continues our insider. "She's a pro at playing mind games, specifically in a way that makes people think about her.
"That said, David and Shona need to tread carefully. If it wasn't Jodie, and there really is someone out to get her, they could be in the firing line…"
Are David and Shona in danger?
Last month, Olivia Frances Brown – who plays Jodie – exclusively told us that her character could ultimately change her ways when she reappears on the cobbles.
"I hope that she's not going to be so spiteful and so evil for the rest of her days," Olivia admitted. "I can't see that it would be sustainable as a life choice!

Asked whether she'd like to see Jodie redeem herself, Olivia replied: "I have a feeling that could be on the cards.
"Before this, she still had the support of her sister and was quite comfortable living in that house. But after pressing too many of the wrong buttons, she's not going to be able to keep hold of all those luxuries.
"She's going to be made to face up to what she's done – and that is when she might potentially reconsider her choices and actions!"
