PUTRAJAYA, Oct 20 — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has denied the authenticity of a TikTok advertisement offering driving licences without the need to take a test.

In a statement today, JPJ said it received complaints regarding the advertisement, which used an account under the name ‘Ahmad Mushidi’.

“JPJ wishes to emphasise that the advertisement and the account belonging to the individual named Ahmad Mushidi are fake,” the statement read.

Following this, JPJ lodged a report with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for further action.

JPJ advised the public not to be easily deceived by driving licence promotions through unverified advertisements or accounts to avoid confusion and losses.

The public is also reminded to obtain information regarding JPJ services only through the department’s official platforms. — Bernama
