DGA and Emmy Winner Glenn Weiss Signs With Gersh (EXCLUSIVE)

Director and executive producer Glenn Weiss has signed with Gersh for representation in all areas.

Weiss is a 15-time Emmy Award winner and nine-time Directors Guild of America Award recipient.

Among his credits that span awards shows, television shows, scripted musicals and live events, Weiss has worked on the Oscars eight times, also serving as executive producer twice. He spent 25 years as executive producer and director of the Tony Awards. He also produced and directed the Kennedy Center Honors for seven years. He has also directed nine broadcasts of the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Earlier this year, Weiss landed an Emmy nomination for directing the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.”

His producing credits also include multiple Super Bowl Halftime Shows and pregame performances.

On joining Gersh, Weiss said, “What I liked about Gersh is that they seem genuinely excited about the work, not just the deal. That’s the kind of energy I want around me. Plus, they seem to appreciate my sense of humor, which may turn out to be a serious lapse in judgment on their part.”

Weiss is currently preparing for his 16th edition of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” and his fourth year directing “Christmas in Rockefeller Center.” He is also working on next year’s Golden Globes ceremony, where he serves as executive producer.

Known for his collaborative approach, Weiss works closely with artists, producers and creative teams to bring a shared vision to life. Whether directing from a theater, arena, stadium or unconventional location, he combines cinematic storytelling with the immediacy of live performance, creating productions that feel spectacular in scale yet personal to audiences watching at home.
