Destry Allyn Spielberg Wraps Crime-Thriller ‘Girl’ With Jason Isaacs, Sofia Wylie, Luke Newton & Maddie Ziegler

EXCLUSIVE: Destry Spielberg‘s (Please Don’t Feed the Children) sophomore feature, the psychological crime-thriller Girl, has wrapped in Savannah, Georgia.

Cast is led by Jason Isaacs (The White Lotus), Sofia Wylie (The School for Good and Evil), Luke Newton (Bridgerton), and Maddie Ziegler (Pretty Lethal).

Written by Will Danilow, the film follows “the aftermath of a tennis instructor being found viciously murdered in a summer beach town where wealth and status control everything; a local cop must look deep into the instructor’s last days and his own complicated past to get to the bottom of the twisted case.”

The film is a production of Tetrad Studios, Crazy Legs Features, Valecroft, and 5 More Minutes Productions in association with Neighborhood Entertainment Fund. It’s produced by Roy Scott MacFarland, Tom Cappello, Scott Thigpen, Colin Bates, William Ramsey, Matt Groesch, John Sacchi, Marc Danon, and Jessica Fox-Thigpen.

Additional cast includes Bobby Gilchrist, Tess Kincaid, and Sandy Bainum.

Emmy, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee Isaacs is best known for the Harry Potter films and The White Lotus. He’ll next be seen in horror-thriller Victorian Psycho. Actress and singer Wylie is known for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and The School for Good and Evil. She will next be seen in Netflix’s The Body this fall.

Newton is best known for his role in Netflix smash Bridgerton, having led the third season as Colin Bridgerton. He will next be seen starring in sci-fi thriller White Mars (W/T), releasing in 2027, and the animated feature Viana: The Legend of the Golden Hearts, due out later this year. Ziegler’s credits span Pretty Lethal, My Old Ass, Fitting In, The Fallout, Music and Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story. She will next appear in Netflix’s In a Holidaze later this year.

Destry, daughter of film legend Steven Spielberg, made her filmmaking debut with 2024 genre movie Please Don’t Feed the Children, starring Michelle Dockery.
