Hollyoaks' Imran issues devastating threat in Lucas hospital scene

Hollyoaks' Imran Maalik is continuing to be the soap's newest villain in tonight's episode, as he has turned to issuing a devastating threat to Lucas Hay in a tense hospital scene.

Last week, Imran left Lucas for dead after trying to chase him down, although he was since found and taken for medical care.

A special flashback also revealed the extent of Imran's relationship with Cindy Cunningham, and that the pair are the ones responsible for Ste Hay's disappearance.

After Cindy had second thoughts, Imran took over making sure Ste wasn't found and is keeping him locked up in some sort of prison cell with basic food and water.

Tonight's episode began with Imran's ex Leah Barnes confronting him and Cindy after learning about their relationship. Cindy explained that they were both single when they started seeing each other before walking out, leaving Imran to deal with his estranged fiancé.

Leah said that their marriage would have been built "on sand" as Imran would have always been looking in Cindy's direction, but he bit back and pointed out her feelings for Hunter McQueen.

Later on, in the hospital, Lucas woke up to see Imran sitting down watching him. It didn't take long for Imran to start berating him for not "stick[ing] to the plan".

Lucas said he was fed up of listening to Imran and declared the he wasn't going to be blackmailed anymore. However, Imran had other ideas.

"I'll make sure you dad lives without any basic needs. We'll see what happens to him then. You don't know where he is. No-one can help him." Imran warned, telling Lucas to lie about the attack.

It looks like Lucas doesn't have a choice. Can Imran be stopped and Ste rescued before it's too late?
