Maresca Gives Update On Haaland’s Injury
Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has provided an update on Erling Haaland after the striker limped off following a brace in Saturday’s 3-2 victory against Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium.
The Norwegian star took a blow to the foot late in the match and appeared to be struggling as he left the pitch. While awaiting the results of medical assessments, Maresca remains hopeful the issue is minor.

“We will see. I asked him and he said he was OK, so hopefully it is nothing serious,” Maresca said.
The win made Maresca the first manager in Premier League history to win his first seven matches, keeping table-topping City on a 100% start to the campaign.
However, the Italian manager revealed that Haaland wasn’t the only casualty, with a wave of players picking up late knocks.

“Unfortunately, in 10 minutes we had four or five players—Matheus [Nunes], Kova [Mateo Kovacic], Erling, Antoine [Semenyo], and Nico [O’Reilly] also—but they are inside now, and we will see,” he said.
Manchester City continue to show on-field defiance amid the club’s ongoing crisis following their guilty verdict for breaching Premier League financial rules.
