You were part of Cabinet during 2021 CSA, Fahmi reminds Tuan Ibrahim

Unity government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil has hit back at PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man’s criticism of the confidence and supply agreement (CSA) with seven opposition MPs, reminding him that the first CSA was signed in 2021 when he was a minister.
The communications minister was responding to Tuan Ibrahim who said that the CSA should not become a new political culture because it appeared to undermine the people’s mandate.
“What is he talking about? The Cabinet he sat in started that culture,” Fahmi told reporters after attending an internet safety programme at MMU Melaka Campus.
Fahmi said the agreement did not break the law.
“It builds understanding and, in my view, creates a stable situation that puts the people and institutional reform first,” he said.
“If something good can come out of it, why object?”
Fahmi also said the government would not stop MPs who had not signed from doing so.
“The door to signing the CSA remains open,” he said.
Six Bersatu MPs and Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman signed the CSA with the government on Thursday.
Under its terms, the government will table constitutional amendments on prime ministerial term limits and on separating the roles of the attorney-general and public prosecutor.
The MPs are also to receive constituency allocations once the 2027 budget is passed.
The 2021 arrangement Fahmi referred to is believed to be the memorandum of understanding on transformation and political stability that the Ismail Sabri Yaakob administration signed with the then opposition Pakatan Harapan that September.
PAS was part of that government, with Tuan Ibrahim serving as environment and water minister.
