It is hard to believe that, despite its success, the beginning of The Lord of the Rings' journey was quite different. Having to be published in three parts; The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King, for economic reasons, the high fantasy novel series by author J.R.R. Tolkien would soon go onto become one of the best-selling franchises ever written, going on to sell over 150 million copies.

First published in 1954, it was not until 2001 that The Fellowship of the Ring was adapted into a live-action movie courtesy of Peter Jackson and, after being followed by The Two Towers and The Return of the King in 2002 and 2003 respectively (back when sequels did not take years to come out), the movie series, too, became one of the biggest and most ambitious film projects ever undertaken and, much like the books, is considered some of the best of all time.

It is so iconic that, even if you have yet to read the books or watch the movies, you will recognize some of its most iconic moments, lines, and locations. One such example of that is Legolas, one of the nine members of the Fellowship who set out to destroy the One Ring, and portrayed by Orlando Bloom in the movie trilogy.

Recognized for his long, blonde hair and pointed ears, as well as his accompanying bow and arrows, Legolas is one of the most recognizable fictional characters in history, which is why it comes as no surprise that Sideshow is set to release a stunning figure dedicated to the man himself.
