Harlan Coben star confirmed for "atmospheric" thriller set in a "one-of-a-kind" location

A medieval Tuscan town will provide the "one-of-a-kind" setting for an upcoming thriller starring Fool Me Once star Richard Armitage.
Titled Cinghiale, which translates to "wild boar", the film from director Jordan Tragash will make the most of the atmospheric Garfagnana Valley, known for its wild boars roaming in the forests and venturing into towns.
Set in Barga, Cinghiale stars Britt Robertson and Quelin Sepulveda as two friends heading to Italy to settle a family estate (via Deadline). There, they're roped into a potentially deadly game of deception when they meet Armitage's charming hunter, who hides a terrible secret.

Rounding out the cast are Kalil Sims, who previously starred in Tragash's 2024 feature directorial debut Bam!, and Alessandro Bertolucci.
The movie has started shooting, with Tragash hoping that filming during the region's season of heavy fall mists would add to his "atmospheric" thriller.
"Our shooting location offers an incredible backdrop, with steep cliffs, dense mist, and real-life wild boar roaming the surrounding hills. It's the perfect setting for the kind of atmospheric thriller we are producing here," the filmmaker said in a statement.
"We are excited and humbled to be given the opportunity to capture this one-of-a-kind environment alongside our world-class ensemble."

As the film has began production in Italy, Armitage has taken to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes snaps, promising he's "working hard" as he enjoys the sunshine and some gelato.
The actor was recently seen in the police procedural Winter, inspired by the French series Balthazar. He plays the titular pathologist, Dr Ethan Winter, who teams up with DI Lauren Bell (Annabel Scholey) to crack complex cases.
Armitage previously starred in Harlan Coben adaptations Fool Me Once and Missing You, as well as altitude thriller Red Eye.
Cinghiale doesn't have a release date yet.
