Emmys Sets Reba McEntire For Dolly Parton Tribute; Adds Big ‘Baywatch’ Contingent, McConaughey & Harrelson, LL Cool J & Caan, More As Presenters

More details are coming into light about the 78th Emmy Awards ahead of the September 14 ceremony broadcast live from the Peacock Theater on NBC and Peacock.

Jesse Collins confirmed on Thursday that the show will honor Dolly Parton, who died recently at the age of 80. Deadline hears that the tribute will feature Parton’s longtime friend and fellow country music icon Reba McEntire who is also a NBC star, headlining the network’s hit multi-camera comedy Happy’s Place.

“Your love, your music and you gave so much with your huge huge heart,” McEntire wrote on IG following Parton’s death. “There will never ever be another you.”

As Deadline reported earlier this week, the telecast also will include a tribute to Catherine O’Hara featuring her Home Alone son Macaulay Culkin and her Schitt’s Creek‘s co-stars Dan Levy and Annie Murphy, as well as a 50th anniversary Charlie’s Angels reunion with Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd and a 30th anniversary Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion with Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz.

NBC and the TV Academy have now announced more Emmy presenters for the ceremony hosted by Mariska Hargitay.

The additions include almost the entire influencer-heavy cast of Fox’s upcoming Baywatch reboot: Stephen Amell, Noah Beck, Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone and Brooks Nader all will be on hand to give away trophies and promoted their show.

Serving the same double duty will be LL Cool J and Scott Caan, stars of CBS’ new spinoff, NCIS: New York, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, leads of the Apple TV comedy Brothers, as well as Julia Garner, star of Netflix’s limited series The Altruists.

Pulling off a triple duty will be Jamie Lee Curtis, a presenter, co-star/executive producer of NBC’s new comedy series Newlyweds and an Emmy nominee this year for The Bear. (She won in 2024.)

Paradise’s Shailene Woodley is the only guest acting winner from last weekend to tapped as a presenter for the main telecast.

Other additions to the Emmy presenter lineup include comedians Awkwafina and John Mulaney as NBC and the TV Academy are looking to amp up the ceremony’s entertainment content as well as House of the Dragon star Emma D’Arcy; Love Story‘s JFK Jr., Paul Anthony Kelly, Furious star Emmy Rossum and NBC’s own America’s Got Talent judge Sofía Vergara.

Previously announced presenters also include Odessa A’zion, Linda Cardellini, Alan Cumming, Sally Field, Jon Hamm, David Harbour, Marcello Hernández, Peter Krause, Julianna Margulies, Niecy Nash-Betts, Keke Palmer, Amanda Peet, Amy Poehler, Florence Pugh, Rachel Sennott and Zendaya.

Also releaved earlier this week — the In Memoriam segment will feature Noah Kahan performing “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment and Mariska Hargitay will serve as executive producers.
