The Japan Times to hold its first school fair in Taiwan, showcasing Japan-based boarding and international schools

The Japan Times, Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; Chairperson and Publisher: Minako Suematsu) will hold The Japan Times School Fair Taipei, bringing together boarding schools and international schools based in Japan, in Taipei, Taiwan, on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026. The event will be the company’s first school fair held outside Japan, and registration is now open.

Designed for students and parents in Taiwan, the fair offers an opportunity to explore education in Japan as a new option. Seven Japan-based schools will take part, ranging from schools drawing on traditional British educational traditions to international schools with distinctive educational philosophies.

At the event, each school will give a presentation introducing its educational approach, learning environment and boarding life. Michael Rob Gray, former headmaster of Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland, will deliver a keynote address. In the afternoon, attendees will also have the opportunity to speak directly with admissions representatives from each school in one-on-one consultations.

For families interested in education that combines life in Japan with a global outlook, as well as boarding and international schools, the fair will provide an opportunity to hear directly from participating schools and compare their educational programs and school environments.
