Coronation Street and Emmerdale release unused Corriedale scene showing two more characters meeting

Translate

Can you believe it's been nine months since Coronation Street and Emmerdale finally crossed over in the action-packed Corriedale? Now, all these months later, an unused scene from the special has finally been released.

If you cast your mind back, ITV filmed four scenes featuring a Corrie character interacting with one from Emmerdale. The pairs consisted of: Roy Cropper and Nicola King, Kirk Sutherland and Sam Dingle, Carla Connor and Charity Dingle, Ross Barton and Tracy Barlow.

Only one of those scenes was featured in the actual episode though, as it was put to a viewer vote as to which one fans wanted to see the most. Fans voted online until the deadline of 15 minutes before the episode aired.

The Carla and Charity scene came out on top and was featured in the episode.

ITV's soap boss Iain MacLeod teased at the time that we'd see the other three clips online "at some point", and now the broadcaster is starting to make good on that promise.

On the social media pages for the two soaps, the scene of Tracy Barlow meeting Ross Barton was officially released earlier today.

"Can you believe it’s been a whole year since Corriedale filming began?! As a treat, we thought it was about time we released another lift scene," the post reads.

The scene plays out as you'd expect, with Tracy in full-on Tracy mode as she calls Ross a lift attendant and tells him to push the button. He gives as good as he gets, and the two get into some back-and-forth about how gobby they both are.

Ross points out that there's a flirty "vibe" between them, but Tracy decides to play it cool.

Coronation Street and Emmerdale both air every weekday from 8pm on ITV1 and stream on ITVX and YouTube, while Corriedale can still be streamed on both platforms.
