Uganda Airlines to deploy Boeing 737-800 on four weekly Accra flights

Translate

Uganda Airlines will deploy a Boeing 737-800 on its new four-times-weekly service to Accra from October 27, expanding its West African presence and adding capacity to air links between Ghana and East Africa.

The Entebbe-based carrier will operate the service through Lagos, Nigeria, using a Boeing 737-800.

The four weekly frequencies will provide additional travel options for passengers moving between Accra and Uganda, including business travellers, tourists and people visiting family.

The service also offers connections through Entebbe to destinations across the airline’s wider network, including Nairobi, London, Mumbai, and over 17 destinations in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

Uganda Airlines operates a mixed fleet that includes Bombardier CRJ-900 regional jets, Boeing 737-800s, and Airbus A330-800neo wide-body aircraft.

The Accra launch forms part of a wider push to strengthen connections between African markets. Ghana is a key commercial gateway in West Africa, while Entebbe can provide onward links to East Africa and beyond.

More frequent connections could help businesses plan regional trips more flexibly, support tourism operators, and improve access to commercial opportunities on both sides of the continent.

The route could also complement efforts to facilitate trade and investment under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
