Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the appointment of four officials to serve in key positons in the state’s power, road infrastructure and transportation sectors.
The appointment was contained in a statement in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday evening by the Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode.
This came few hours after the governor sworn-in the Secretary to State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro and the Chief of Staff, Mr Oyeniyi Adebayo.
Oyebode listed the four new appointees as Philip Atere, Technical Advisor (Power infrastructure); Tope Fatukasi, Technical Advisor (Road infrastructure); Air Vice Marshal Sunday Makinde (retd), Technical Advisor (Airport); and Tajudeen Alingbolu, Director-General, Ekiti State Transport Agency.
The CPS stated that “the appointments, which take immediate effect, are informed by the strategic importance of the respective agencies to the administration’s development agenda.

Oyebanji had at the swearing-in ceremony for the SSG and COS declared that his second-term administration would not tolerate anything short of excellent service delivery.
The governor charged them to deploy the wealth of experience they acquired during the first term of his administration to deliver on their responsibilities without delay.
Oyebanji, who said that the reappointment of the SSG and COS placed greater responsibilities on them to serve the government and the people of Ekiti State, however,
cautioned them against becoming complacent, overconfident or too comfortable in their positions, stressing that the demands of the second term required a higher level of diligence, discipline and accountability.
He described Adubiaro and Adebayo as “steady hands who had served creditably as foundation appointees since he assumed office four years ago,” saying, “This reappointment is, therefore, proof that the reward for good work is more work. But I will be dishonest if I do not acknowledge that there are areas in need of improvement.
“You, therefore, have no reason to grope around. The burden that comes with this, however, is that I will be less tolerant of lapses than I was in the first administration because you cannot claim inexperience again,” Oyebanji had said.
