Lojay returns with 'Money Lingo'

Translate

Lojay has finally returned with a new single titled Money Lingo. Released via his Koratori Music imprint, the song leans into a catchy, Pidgin-infused hook: "Hear any other lingo, money lingo say na money lingo." The rollout built anticipation through a 44-second studio snippet Lojay shared featuring Davido, which showed the two artists together in the studio and sparked speculation about renewed chemistry, following their 2023 collaboration Sensational alongside Chris Brown.

Musically, the track reflects Lojay's established blend of contemporary influences and local nuance, made to resonate both within Nigeria and internationally. The production and lyricism continue his approach of merging Afrobeats fundamentals with clever wordplay, giving the song a playful, memorable character distinct from some of his more R&B-leaning work, such as his 2025 Tyla collaboration Memories.

The single adds to the growing recognition of Nigerian music on the global stage, with Lojay using Money Lingo to reinforce his identity as both a Nigerian artist and an internationally minded one. It follows his XOXO album era and continues his track record of concise, hook-driven singles.

As a short but punchy release, Money Lingo fits Lojay's pattern of using compact tracks to test and build momentum, and the Davido teaser suggests further collaborative material may follow from the same studio sessions.
