“BRB,” a song performed by Liza Soberano and Grammy-winning artist H.E.R. for DreamWorks Animation’s “Forgotten Island,” has received two nominations at the 2026 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA).

The track is nominated for Song – Animated Film and Music Video, according to the awarding body’s official list of nominees for its 17th edition.

In the Song – Animated Film category, “BRB” will compete against “Bottle Up” from “PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie,” performed by the Backstreet Boys; “I Knew It, I Knew You” from “Toy Story 5,” performed by Taylor Swift; “Someone to Hold” from “Steps,” performed by BLACKPINK member Jennie; and “The Better Part of Bravery” from “Wildwood,” performed by The Decemberists.

Described as a ’90s-inspired duet, the song reflects the friendship between Jo and Raissa, the characters voiced by H.E.R. and Soberano, respectively. The music video, directed by Bianca Catbagan and H.E.R., is also among the nominees in the Music Video category.

“Forgotten Island” follows childhood best friends Jo and Raissa, who discover a mysterious portal leading to Nakali, a fantastical island inhabited by creatures inspired by Philippine folklore and mythology. Their adventure takes a turn when they learn that their memories of each other are at risk.

Directed by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, the film features a voice cast that includes Filipino and Filipino-descended talents such as Soberano, H.E.R., Lea Salonga, Dolly de Leon, Manny Jacinto and Jo Koy, alongside Dave Franco, Jenny Slate and Ronny Chieng.
