Mass Effect: Legion Officially Releases December 2026

Whilst the wait for Mass Effect 5 continues, it is reassuring to know that it will launch one day. Well, hopefully. After all, it has been almost a decade since the most recent entry, Mass Effect: Andromeda, was launched in 2017. Now, with the recent news surrounding the $55 billion acquisition of EA causing potential problems for some of our favorite franchises, such as The Sims, and in this case, Mass Effect, it remains to be seen what the future will hold for our beloved BioWare saga.

However, at the time of writing, Mass Effect 5 is in development, but with no release date, or even a release window in sight, it remains unknown as to when we can expect it, seeing it join the likes of The Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5.

That being said, it is not all doom and gloom, as a brand-new Mass Effect release is guaranteed to appeal to fans, especially as it features a fan-favorite character.

Courtesy of Dark Horse Direct, the Mass Effect: Legion Figure is now available for pre-order, coming in at a respectable £48.97, down from £52.74. As you can probably guess, it is inspired by Legion who was first introduced in Mass Effect 2, and goes on to become a supporting NPC able to join your squad.

As part of the artificial intelligence entities known as the Geth, Legion was the name given to Geth Platform 2A93 by The Normandy SR-2's artificial intelligence, EDI, and since his first appearance, he has cemented himself as one of the most beloved characters in the Mass Effect franchise, especially as he challenges the idea to whether AI is capable of having a soul.

Now, you can celebrate him in style thanks to the launch of Mass Effect: Legion Figure. The official synopsis for this stunning collectible reads as follows:

An autonomous sentient unit within a race of artificial intelligences known as geth, Legion is first encountered onboard a derelict Reaper. While it operates on the consensus of 1,183 geth programs, Legion is designed to function independently and to communicate with organics and become a loyal member of Commander Shepard’s team on the war against “The Old Machines.”
