Tribeca Festival Sets 2027 Dates, Opens For Submissions
Tribeca Festival’s 26th edition will unspool June 3–12, 2027 in New York City. Submissions across signature programming categories are now open, and Festival passes are on sale today including the returning Under 25 Pass and a new Hudson Opening Weekend Pass.
The fest, a destination for emerging and established artists to debut new work and connect with audiences, industry leaders, and a creative community, has been expanding each year and is a key stop on the indie film circuit. In 2026, it welcomed 57 first-time feature filmmakers, joining alumni community that includes Ryan Coogler, Damien Chazelle, Jon M. Chu, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Alex Gibney, Jessica Kingdon and Nia DaCosta.
“Building on a record year at the box office, we cannot wait to welcome our passionate audiences back to New York City for our 26th year to discover and delight in the incredible stories, creativity, and cultural experiences that make Tribeca so special each June,” said Rebecca Glashow, CEO of Tribeca Enterprises. “At its heart, Tribeca has always been about bringing audiences and artists together to experience the new voices shaping our culture.”
“Last year’s record-breaking submissions helped make our 25th anniversary one of the most remarkable editions in Tribeca’s history, and we can’t wait to see what comes next,” adds Cara Cusumano, fest director and SVP Programming. “Tribeca was built on the belief that the next great storyteller could come from anywhere, and we look forward to meeting the voices who will define the 2027 festival.”
Submissions are now open across Features, Shorts & Music Videos, Tribeca TV, Tribeca Digital Creators, Tribeca Games, Tribeca Podcasts, and Tribeca X. Submissions for the Tribeca Works in Progress category opens January 5.
The 2026 fest marked a milestone 25th anniversary with more than 240 live events and a record 104 world premieres. The festival was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2001 to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of lower Manhattan following the attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11.
