ADC gov candidate hails Sokoto, Kware youths for solidarity rallies

The African Democratic Congress governorship candidate in Sokoto State, Manir Muhammad Dan’iya, has hailed youths, women, elders and supporters of the party for organising solidarity rallies in Sokoto North and Kware Local Government Areas.

Dan’iya, in a statement by his Media Aide, Aminu Abdullahi, said about 30,000 youths participated in the rally in Sokoto North, while another 10,000 youths joined the mobilisation in Kware.

He described the gatherings as a demonstration of support for his 2027 governorship bid and the ADC, while noting that the campaign was still at an early stage.

“I am humbled and encouraged by this extraordinary show of support.

The people came out on their own, and that tells us that something is changing in the political consciousness of Sokoto,” Dan’iya said.

The ADC candidate commended the youth leaders and organisers for mobilising supporters, saying their participation showed that young people were becoming more involved in the political process.

He said the growing involvement of youths in the party reflected concerns over economic hardship, insecurity, unemployment and limited opportunities.

“ADC is emerging as a platform through which Nigerians can express their desire for a new political direction and a government that puts the welfare of ordinary citizens first,” he stressed.

Dan’iya maintained that the participation of youths in Sokoto North and Kware had strengthened his commitment to making security, employment, education, entrepreneurship, healthcare, water supply and economic development key areas of his campaign.

He urged his supporters to participate peacefully and responsibly in the democratic process, adding that the rallies should be viewed as an expression of citizens’ aspirations for improved governance.

“The strength of this movement must not be measured only by the size of our rallies, but by the quality of the ideas, the discipline of our supporters and our commitment to building a better Sokoto,” he said.

Dan’iya also called on ADC supporters across the 23 local government areas of the state to remain peaceful, respectful and focused on issues as political activities gather momentum.

“To the 30,000 youths of Sokoto North and the 10,000 youths of Kware, I say thank you. To the women, elders and every citizen who stood with you, I am deeply grateful,” he said.

“Your support has strengthened my resolve to stand firm for a safer, more prosperous and more dignified Sokoto. Together, we can put Sokoto first and build the new Sokoto our people deserve,” Dan’iya declared.
