Euphoria creator Sam Levinson is setting up shop in a new home.

Levinson has signed an overall TV deal with Amazon MGM Studios. The pact includes executive producer services for his partner in Tiny Goat Productions, Ashley Levinson.

Under the agreement, Levinson will exclusively create and develop series projects for Amazon MGM and streamer Prime Video. All of his previous TV work — Euphoria, The Idol and the movie The Wizard of Lies — had been at HBO.

“Sam Levinson is one of the most daring and original voices in television today, with a fearless commitment to authentic storytelling that resonates with audiences around the world,” said Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios. “We’re thrilled to welcome Sam and Ashley and to give them the creative freedom and global platform to develop their projects.”

Said Levinson, “”Peter and his team have inspired us from our very first conversation. Ashley and I are grateful for their trust, and we can’t wait to get to work and deliver for audiences around the world.”

The third and final season of Euphoria concluded in May. Levinson wrote and directed all eight episodes of the final season, which debuted after signifcant delays in production. The show remained a big draw for HBO, however: According to internal data, the final season averaged some 25 million viewers worldwide, up from 21.5 million for season two in 2022.

Euphoria‘s second season was an Emmy nominee for best drama series, and Levinson won a Directors Guild Award for his work on the show in 2023. He also wrote and directed the feature films Malcolm & Marie and Assassination Nation.
