PETALING JAYA, Oct 19 — Malaysia woke up to another a hazy Monday morning with air quality readings showing 26 monitoring stations across the country recording unhealthy levels at 6am.

According to the Department of Environment (DOE), stations in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Pahang, Johor and Sarawak were among those affected. The overall Air Pollutant Index (API) stood at 26 stations in the unhealthy range, while 39 stations recorded moderate readings and only three were classified as good.

The DOE urged the public to check the latest API readings before heading outdoors via its official portal eqms.doe.gov.my.
