Hans Zimmer Is Bringing ‘The Next Level’ Live Show Back to North America in 2027

Hans Zimmer is bringing his blockbuster movie scores back to the stage.

The Oscar- and Grammy winning composer announced Thursday (Sept. 17) that he will be returning to North America in 2027 with Hans Zimmer Lice — The Next Level, bringing his latest live production to arenas across the U.S and Canada.

The 32-date run kicks off Feb. 17 at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Connecticut, before making stops in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Denver and Los Angeles. The tour wraps April 11 at Portland, Oregon’s Moda Center.

The North American dates follow Zimmer’s European run of The Next Level, which ranked among the top 10 worldwide tours during the first half of 2026. The production features Zimmer performing with a 19-piece ensemble, with the show built around a combination of live instrumentation, electronic elements and large-scale visuals.

“I want fans to feel like they’re at a rave party or riding a roller coaster,” Zimmer said in a statement provided to Billboard. “For me, every show is a new voyage of discovery.”

The composer has spent decades creating the musical identities of some of Hollywood’s biggest films, from The Lion King and Gladiator to The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Interstellar and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune films. His résumé also includes Pirates of the Caribbean, Man of Steel, Wonder Woman, Dunkirk, No Time to Die and Top Gun: Maverick.

Zimmer’s live shows allow for these compositions to exist in a different life, making music originally written to accompany scenes on screen into the centerpiece of a full-scale arena production. The Next Level is the latest addition to his touring schedule, which has famously taken him to arenas around the world.

And there’s more Zimmer on the big screen ahead: He is set to return as composer for the third installment of Villeneuve’s Dune franchise, currently slated for release Dec. 18.
