Kill Jackie cast: Who stars alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones?

In one of the most gleefully unhinged roles of her career, Catherine Zeta-Jones fronts brand new revenge thriller Kill Jackie in what is actually the actresses's first major screen role in her native Welsh accent.

Adapted from Nick Harkaway's novel The Price You Pay, it follows Jackie Price, a former international cocaine dealer turned art dealer whose comfortable, anonymous existence explodes when a squad of elite assassins is hired to kill her.

Coming from the creative team behind Killing Eve and Gangs of London, Zeta-Jones also serves as executive producer on the series as well as leading a cast of stellar international talent.

About the character: Jackie Price is an ex-cocaine mogul who spent 20 years reinventing herself as a jet-setting art dealer, exploiting a Bilbao freeport to trade fine art tax-free while staying anonymous. When she learns that The Seven Demons, an elite squad of assassins, have been hired to kill her, she rediscovers her old outlaw instincts and sets out to hunt them one by one, only to be dragged back to Swansea and towards long-buried secrets, including some more personal than others.

Where you've seen Catherine Zeta-Jones before: Zeta-Jones is an Oscar, BAFTA and Tony winner, best known for taking the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for 2002's Chicago. She broke through on UK television in The Darling Buds of May before Hollywood roles in The Mask of Zorro, Entrapment, Traffic and Ocean's Twelve. More recently she has played Morticia Addams in Tim Burton's Netflix hit Wednesday. Kill Jackie marks the first time she has used her native Welsh accent in a major screen role.

Daniel Ings as Sam

About the character: Sam is Jackie's buttoned-up tax lawyer and long-held, faintly comic crush. Throughout the chaos of the series, his usual moral self is thrown wildly out of his depth when he ends up on the run alongside Jackie.

Where you've seen Daniel Ings before: Ings is known for The Crown, W1A, Sex Education and I Hate Suzie opposite Billie Piper. He plays Freddy in Guy Ritchie's Netflix series The Gentlemen and appeared in the Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. He is also set to star in the Apple TV series The Husbands opposite Juno Temple, as well as the film adaptation of Prima Facie and Star Wars: Starfighter.

Óscar Jaenada as Zigor

About the character: Zigor is the legendary, now-reclusive former head of The Seven Demons. He carries a deep personal pain of his own and now hides from his past, but Jackie tracks him down and enlists his expertise to exploit the Demons' weaknesses.

Where you've seen Óscar Jaenada before: The Catalan actor has more than 60 film and TV credits, celebrated for biopics such as Camarón and Cantinflas. His international work includes Pirates of the Caribbean, Rambo: Last Blood, The Shallows and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

Darci Shaw as Gwen

About the character: Gwen is a hard-edged young woman running with a Swansea gang, whose fierce temper masks years of abandonment. When she runs into Jackie, things only get heightened between the pair, with it forming much of the emotional engine of the second half of the season.

Where you've seen Darci Shaw before: Shaw played the young Judy Garland in the film Judy alongside Renée Zellweger. Her television work includes A Thousand Blows, This City Is Ours, Netflix's The Irregulars and The Bay.

Julian Rhind-Tutt as Friedrich

About the character: Friedrich, known as Fred, is the chilling, exacting Head Demon, a man of fine tastes who runs the assassins like a Formula One team and descends on Jackie with devastating force.

Where you've seen Julian Rhind-Tutt before: Rhind-Tutt is best known as Dr Mac in the cult comedy Green Wing. His credits include Netflix's The Witcher, Man vs Bee, Sexy Beast, Harlots and Ridley Scott's Napoleon.

Christine Adams as The Doc

About the character: The Doc is The Demons' sharp, stylish second-in-command and recruiting officer, fascinated by the darkest corners of human nature and once married to Friedrich. Jackie is the one target she cannot read, which only makes her more intriguing.

Where you've seen Christine Adams before: The London-born actress played Lynn Pierce across four seasons of the CW's Black Lightning and appeared in Hijack opposite Idris Elba, Batman Begins, Tron: Legacy and Miller's Girl.

Ron Perlman as Sean Senior

About the character: Sean Senior is a man all about his money and has spent years negotiating deals in order to fund his lifestyle. So, it's safe to say he's disappointed by his son's spoilt lifestyle and wants to teach him a lesson or two.

Where you've seen Ron Perlman before: The Golden Globe-winning actor is known for the Hellboy films, Sons of Anarchy, Beauty and the Beast, Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio and Amazon's Fallout, plus voice work across the Fallout video games. He has more recently starred in The Capture and Apple TV's Cape Fear.

Raff Law as Sean Harper / The Yank

About the character: Sean Harper, nicknamed The Yank, is a spoilt, insecure rich kid who crosses paths with Jackie during an art bid.

Where you've seen Raff Law before: Law took the title role in the film Twist opposite Michael Caine and Lena Headey, and starred as Sgt Ken Lemmons in the Apple TV war drama Masters of the Air. He also appears opposite Glen Powell in How to Make a Killing.

Sidse Babett Knudsen as Karenina

About the character: Karenina is Jackie's former security consultant and cyber expert, ex-Russian forces and unfazed by the grisliest work. However, things take quite the twist when she is recruited by The Demons and sets about tracking her old friend to prove herself worthy of a senior role in the gang.

Where you've seen Sidse Babett Knudsen before: The Emmy-nominated Danish actress rose to prominence as the lead in the BAFTA-winning political drama Borgen. Her English-language credits include HBO's Westworld, Ron Howard's Inferno and Apple TV's Prime Target opposite Leo Woodall.

Hattie Hook as Charlie

About the character: Charlie is Jackie's fiercely capable, tech-savvy PA and closest friend, whom Jackie first met as an orphaned schoolgirl. Tough and no-nonsense on the surface, she is overprotective of her boss and hides a deep well of warmth.

Where you've seen Hattie Hook before: The Australian actress made her feature debut in the acclaimed Of an Age and appeared in Ten Pound Poms, Savage River and The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

Bill Paterson as Ewan

About the character: Ewan is Jackie's estranged father and when they're eventually reunited, Ewan seems to be hiding some pretty life-changing revelations of his own.

Where you've seen Bill Paterson before: The veteran Scottish actor's long career spans Fleabag, Good Omens, Outlander, House of the Dragon, Doctor Who and Guilt, alongside films including The Killing Fields and Miss Potter.
