Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had taken several steps to keep their July wedding away from public attention, but images of the venue eventually made their way into the headlines. What was supposed to remain a private celebration became an uncomfortable situation for the couple after the pictures surfaced online. Now, Swift reportedly wants answers about who broke their trust, with her search for the person behind the leak beginning to affect even those closest to her.
Taylor Swift's wedding leak search strains friendships
The singer's frustration reportedly went beyond the pictures themselves. According to Star, Swift suspected that someone connected to Madison Square Garden or the wedding production team had shared the material. However, she was not ready to settle on a suspect without finding out what actually happened.
An insider told the publication that Swift had started questioning people around her, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere among her friends.
“She's so on edge,” a source said, as per the Star. “The suspicion is that someone working at Madison Square Garden or on the production side shared the pictures, but Taylor wants to be certain so she's asking questions of everyone. That's making things uncomfortable — even for her friends.”
Her husband, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, took a different approach to the situation. He kept reminding Swift that the leaked material could not change the memories they had made during their wedding. That reassurance, however, had not helped her put the incident behind her.
The insider further claimed that Swift was considering hiring private investigators if necessary. She wanted to find the person who had shared the images, especially after taking extensive measures to protect the ceremony from unwanted attention.
Madison Square Garden Wedding Plans Reached The Public
The Daily Mail published the leaked material on October 26. Rather than showing the couple during the ceremony, the images revealed design plans and mockups of the elaborate setup inside Madison Square Garden.
The venue had been transformed into a garden-inspired setting, with rows of trees, hanging lights, a pond beneath the altar and a two-tiered carousel. The entrance reportedly featured coral carpeting and personal photographs, while a large T&T logo completed the decoration.
Some of the original plans were scaled back before the wedding, including a carousel that was estimated to cost nearly $7 million.
Privacy had been a major priority for the July 3 ceremony, which hosted around 1,000 guests. Attendees signed non-disclosure agreements and surrendered their phones, while individually watermarked digital invitations helped organizers track possible screenshots.
Page Six had previously reported that Swift and Kelce had the wedding decorations burned after the ceremony to prevent anyone from taking or selling them.
