Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA) - State-owned food logistics company Perum Bulog is ready to distribute rice aid to 33.2 million beneficiaries across Indonesia for October-December 2026.

“Distribution is still awaiting beneficiary data from the Social Affairs Ministry,” President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said in a statement received in Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi Province, on Sunday.

Bulog has received the government’s assignment letter for the third phase of the aid program and has prepared the rice stocks and packaging needed for distribution.

“The assignment letter has been issued. The rice and packaging are ready. We are just waiting for the beneficiary names from the Social Affairs Ministry,” he said.

Ramdhani hopes the beneficiary list will be available within one or two weeks, allowing rice distribution to begin soon.

The program is scheduled to run for three months, from October through December 2026. Each beneficiary will receive 10 kilograms of rice monthly, totaling 30 kilograms over the quarter.

The program targets about 33.2 million beneficiaries nationwide, helping households meet basic food needs and ease spending pressures.

Bulog said adequate stocks and packaging are essential to the program. Distribution can proceed under applicable procedures once the beneficiary list arrives.

Beyond the aid program, Bulog also helps maintain rice supplies and price stability by managing the Government Rice Reserve (CBP) and implementing the Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program.
