Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Maintenance Across Several Counties on September 11

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity interruptions in parts of Nairobi, Migori, Nyeri and Kitui counties on Friday, September 11, 2026, as the utility company carries out maintenance on its network.

The affected customers have been advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled interruptions.

Nairobi Region

Donholm, Jacaranda and Kayole Spine Road

Electricity supply will be interrupted from 9am to 5pm in parts of Donholm, Jacaranda and Kayole Spine Road.

Affected areas include Salute Apartments, Umoja 2 SDA, Davana Hotel, Jacaranda Estate, Carmel Vale and Edenvale Schools, part of Donholm Phase 8, Greenspan Mall and Estate, as well as adjacent customers.

Runda

Customers in Runda and surrounding areas will experience an electricity interruption from 9am to 5pm.

Upper Hill

The planned interruption in Upper Hill will run from 9am to 5pm.

Affected areas include Railways Club, British High Commission, NIC Bank, Upper Hill Road, UAB, Matumbuatu, Uhuru Park, Kindaruma Road, Kiambere Road, KWFT Headquarters and Masaba Road, together with adjacent customers.

South Nyanza Region

Masaba and parts of Kehancha, Migori County

Customers in Masaba and parts of Kehancha will be without electricity from 8:30am to 5pm.

The affected areas include Masaba, Nyanchabo, Migori Airstrip, KEFRI, Kombe, Korubunyige, Nyamagagana, Narolong, Kehancha Primary School and Goikonge, as well as adjacent customers.

Mt Kenya Region

Mutathini and Lilongwe, Nyeri County

The interruption in Mutathini and Lilongwe is scheduled from 9am to 5pm.

Affected customers include those around Mutathini Market, Lilongwe, Mutathini Booster, Mutathini PCEA and Karibaini, together with adjacent customers.

North Eastern Region

Mbondoni and Kavaini, Kitui County

Electricity supply will be interrupted from 8am to 5pm in Mbondoni and Kavaini.

The affected areas include Mbondoni, Kiomo, Kioo, Maiyuni, Kavaini, Mbakini, Kwa Muthusi, Yenzuva, Kavaloi, Kanyaa, Kalimbui, Nguutani, Kakululo and Syongoni, as well as adjacent customers.
