Coronation Street reveals more Christmas spoilers as Debbie and Ronnie take centre stage

Coronation Street's Debbie Webster and Ronnie Bailey will experience a "rollercoaster ride" this Christmas, as Debbie's dementia worsens. The pair will go through extreme highs and lows together, as they continue to navigate the heartbreaking condition.
Speaking about the "beautiful" festive scenes, Vinta Morgan, who plays Ronnie hinted at some special moments between the couple amid all the ups and downs.

"There are going to be some moments where the audience will go, 'Oh, if they could just be trapped in that moment!'" he shared.
"We'll let them stay in that moment for a bit, and then he's going to go on a rollercoaster ride where we're going to go down into the depths of some really dark stuff. Which is still going to have some light and love in it, of course, that's the whole thing that makes it excruciating."
The star explained that the scenes will highlight the "reality" of the condition, which will hopefully "develop conversations" and "raise awareness."
"We're not going to sugarcoat it. We're going to show it for what it is," he added.
The storyline, which began in early 2025, has already had a huge impact on audiences, with Morgan frequently approached by members of the public. He shared that "a lot of people" have opened up to him about their own experiences with the condition.

"Again, it just shows the power of what Corrie can do, why it's so vital to British television, and why it's existed so long, because we have the ability to tell these stories that give support to people and let them feel seen.
"It's been really positive. People always love Debbie, and secondarily they love Ronnie. They love the fact that he loves her deeply, they get that sense of care and attentiveness in him, and they seem to enjoy the character."
He added: "The story is hard-hitting, and it has an inevitability that maybe not all fans are happy about, but they are enjoying the story."
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
