Taylor Sheridan's Frisco King is almost here.

The upcoming Taylor Sheridan show, which he wrote and executive produced, is a spinoff of Tulsa King, the hit crime drama starring Sylvester Stallone that is heading into its fourth season. The new series focuses on seasoned New Orleans gangster Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Samuel L. Jackson) as he expands his criminal influence into the suburbs of Frisco, Texas, where he recruits an ambitious protégé, loyal driver, and an expanding network of eccentric collaborators.

Paramount+ has now announced that Frisco King will debut with a two-episode premiere on December 18, followed by new episodes every Friday on the streaming platform. A teaser trailer was also released that shows Washington jumping headfirst into his new criminal ventures and Stallone's Dwight "The General" Manfredi saying, "See how far you can take it." This is followed by footage of them shaking hands, Washington knocking out enemies with a fry pan and later a gun, and a car exploding. Check out the trailer below:

Stallone will have a special appearance in the series, and joining Jackson in the main cast are Asa Germann (Gen V), Kai Caster (Spider-Noir), Lilah Pate (Outer Banks), and Savanna Gann (English Teacher). Jackson and Stallone produced the series alongside Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and Keith Cox. Voros and Friedman each directed four episodes, including Vorosh helming the pilot.

The spinoff was originally titled NOLA King, with the story set in New Orleans, and had Dave Erickson serving as the showrunner and writer of the pilot episode. Erickson exited the series in July 2025 and a creative overhaul followed, which included Sheridan writing all eight episodes. A new showrunner was never announced.

Jackson made his debut as Washington in Tulsa King season 3, episode 9, which helps set up the events of Frisco King. The two characters became friends and allies after spending years in prison together, and their connection is poised to continue being integral in the spinoff.

Tulsa King season 4 will come first with an October 16 premiere on Paramount+. It will air through December 18, with the season finale coming out on the same day as Frisco King's two-episode premiere. The timing will allow for a smooth transition between the two shows and ensures that the franchise is releasing new installments on a weekly basis for the next few months. Tulsa King has also been renewed already for season 5.

Frisco King and Tulsa King season 4 join a packed year for Sheridan shows, which has included episodes of Landman season 2, along with all of Dutton Ranch season 1, The Madison season 1, Lioness season 3, and Marshals seasons 1 and 2. Meanwhile, Landman season 3, Dutton Ranch season 2, The Madison season 2, and Mayor of Kingstown season 5 are all in the works. While Sheridan signed a lucrative deal with NBCUniversal, his TV contract with Paramount (known as Skydance after the Warner Bros. merger) lasts through the end of 2028.

Frisco King debuts with a two-episode premiere on Paramount+ on December 18.
