Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) has been given six months to complete a comprehensive study on the proposed establishment of a Mara Hospital.

Mara chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the study would draw on the expertise of medical professionals and Mara alumni with experience in the healthcare sector.

"Mara's management has been given a maximum of six months to complete the study on the establishment of a Mara Hospital by harnessing the expertise of medical specialists and former Mara students in the health sector," he said in a social media post yesterday.

It was reported that the proposed Mara Hospital was at the evaluation and study stage, with Mara establishing a special task force led by its deputy director-general to examine all aspects.

Asyraf added that Mara's healthcare ecosystem also includes the UNI Klinik, UNI Farmasi and UNI Dental networks, which currently have about 160 branches. The number is expected to reach 200 by the end of this year.
