Bologna have confirmed that striker Roberto Piccoli will be out of action for circa three weeks after his injury against Inter, adding to their current problems.
The centre-forward hobbled off the field in the first half of their 3-1 Serie A home defeat to Inter at the Stadio Dall’Ara on Saturday evening.
Piccoli suffers thigh strain

An official statement from the club website confirms that Piccoli has been diagnosed with a lesion to the femoral bicep in the right thigh.
Their medical staff predict this type of injury will require at least three weeks to make a full recovery.
It adds to the growing Bologna concerns, because Emil Holm is out for four to six months following surgery on a hamstring tear, with Riccardo Orsolini also on the treatment table with a muscular injury.

Piccoli had appeared in all seven Serie A matches for Bologna so far this season, scoring one goal in the 2-2 draw with Sassuolo on September 6.
It is likely that Artem Dovbyk or Jay Enem will take the centre-forward role against Cagliari on Saturday and Milan in the midweek round.
