Coronation Street's Sam Blakeman to make shock confession after betraying Nick

Coronation Street's Sam Blakeman breaks down next week as he makes an unexpected confession.

Facing Nick Tilsley – as well as Toyah and Leanne Battersby – Sam guiltily reveals that he used his dad's identity to spend thousands on a credit card. How will the trio react?

In the Bistro office, Sam is devastated to admit that he's been trading cryptocurrency while pretending to be Nick – and even worse, he's over £6,000 in debt after taking out a credit card in his dad's name!

"Nick, Toyah and Leanne can't believe their ears," explains our Corrie insider. "Even at his lowest, Sam has always been a thoughtful and intelligent boy, so it's unbelievable to hear that he's been operating in the murky world of crypto.

"And that's not to mention how Nick is going to find over £6,000 to put things right!"

The drama kicks off when Hope Dobbs lets slip to Nick and Toyah that Sam has been acting out of character.

Worried, the couple try to persuade Sam to open up, but the teenager keeps his money problem to himself.

Once Sam confesses all, Nick expresses concern about how he will find the cash to pay off the debt. Nearby, Idris listens in, clearly interested in what his girlfriend's ex has to say…

"Idris' ears prick up as Nick despairs about his situation," explains our source. "It's not immediately apparent why Idris is so interested, but knowing him, there's probably some sketchy motive involved!"

Can Nick cough up the cash to clear Sam's debt? Or will he end up in serious financial trouble?

The latest revelations come after another surprising incident involving Sam aired in the closing moments of Thursday's episode (24 September).

While searching around the Rovers to find his missing phone, Sam was startled as Eva Price interrupted him. Pushing her away, he was stunned as she fell violently down the cellar stairs.

Fans will have to wait and see how the story goes from here, but it's clear that Sam's crypto woes won't be the only worry on his mind…
