RAIPUR: A video showing utensils being washed on a toilet floor at New Delhi Sweets in Korba’s Niharika area has prompted a food safety inspection and an improvement notice, with officials warning of licence suspension if hygiene deficiencies are not addressed within three days.The footage, recorded by a customer and circulated on social media, showed employees washing utensils inside the toilet.Food safety officer Sangharsh Kumar Mishra inspected the outlet following the video’s circulation.

During the inspection, the operator attributed the practice to a disruption in water supply, claiming utensils were washed there as an emergency measure.Mishra described the practice as unhygienic and a violation of food safety norms. The establishment was directed to improve its arrangements within two to three days or face suspension of its food licence.
