MAGA Fest with Kid Rock Canceled After Only Selling Six VIP Tickets

The MAGA-associated Patriots Day Freedom Fest has been canceled less than a week before it was set to start after the unusual business model — free admission for GA, $1,000 for VIP tickets — only resulted in six tickets sold.

As reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer and The Daily Beast, the 2026 event was organized by Eric Deters and scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 26th in Morning View, Kentucky. The fest booked Kid Rock (speaking, not performing), Dog the Bounty Hunter, US Rep. James Comer, and Fox News contributor Joe Concha, among others.

“When I put together Patriots Day Freedom Fest, I put it together with the game plan and the idea that I could pay for it with VIP sales of $1,000 from these 100 people that I interact with on a regular basis,” Deters said in a video announcing the cancellation. “I do countless favors for these people. These people — some of them — I got ignored!… Then there’s a group of people that made an excuse, like, ‘Oh, I was traveling.’ Like their phone doesn’t work while traveling. I even took the special test of giving some of them a hard time.”

Deters added, “I am never ever, ever, ever, ever doing this event again. Ever,” and as for his rich friends, “None of these people will ever, ever, ever get a favor from me again. Ever.”
