Kajang MRT line disrupted by attempted cable theft

Translate

Services on the Kajang MRT line were disrupted this morning by an attempted cable theft between the Phileo Damansara and Pusat Bandar Damansara stations.

Rapid KL said it detected a rail line encroachment and cable theft attempt at 5.30am, resulting in the temporary cut-off of power supply to the area.

This allowed auxiliary police to conduct security checks and locate the suspect. It did not state if anyone was caught.

“Power supply was restored at 6.32am after the necessary action was taken,” it said in a statement, adding that a police report has been lodged.

Rapid KL said waiting times might be slightly longer than expected as services recover.
