'Nayyi Navelli' box office collection day 4: Yami's film earns Rs 2.50 cr on Monday

Yami Gautam's 'Nayyi Navelli' witnessed a decline in its box office earnings on Monday, October 19, following its opening weekend. The Hindi comedy-horror movie collected Rs 2.50 cr on its fourth day across 4,804 shows.

According to Sacnilk, the latest collection represents a 43.2% drop from Sunday's earnings of Rs 4.40 cr.The film's cumulative India net collection has reached Rs 14.15 cr, while its domestic gross stands at Rs 16.85 cr. Overseas markets contributed Rs 0.25 cr on Monday, taking the total overseas gross to Rs 2.25 cr. With these earnings, the movie's worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 19.10 cr. The movie began its theatrical run on October 16, earning Rs 3.25 cr on its opening Friday.

Collections improved to Rs 4 cr on Saturday before reaching Rs 4.40 cr on Sunday.

However, the film experienced a downturn as it entered its first Monday.The day-wise figures show an increase throughout the opening weekend, followed by a decline on the first weekday. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 18.33% on Monday.

Morning screenings registered 6.38%, while afternoon shows recorded 22.08%. Evening occupancy stood at 21.77%, with night shows registering the highest figure at 26.08%.The movie recorded 135,173 footfalls on its fourth day. Its cumulative footfall count has reached 672,956 since release. These figures offer an indication of audience turnout during its initial theatrical run.

Story of 'Nayyi Navelli'

'Nayyi Navelli', also spelt 'Nayi Naveli', is a 2026 Hindi-language comedy-horror movie directed by Balaji Mohan.

The project marks his Bollywood directorial debut. Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma have penned the screenplay.Set in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, the story follows Mohini, played by Yami Gautam, a newly married woman who enters the chaotic Awasthi household. Her arrival appears to bring harmony to the family, transforming their home into an unexpectedly peaceful place.However, her seemingly flawless behaviour raises suspicions.

Her observant brother-in-law, Bantu, begins to question whether Mohini is truly the family's good fortune or conceals something supernatural. His attempts to uncover the truth gradually move the narrative from domestic comedy and satire towards folklore, mythology and supernatural suspense.Yami Gautam plays Mohini, the new bride at the centre of the story. The supporting cast includes Addinath M. Kothare, Mita Vashisht, Sunita Rajwar and Sonal Jha.
