EastEnders' Amy makes two dangerous decisions in early iPlayer release

EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (20 October), which is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders’ Amy Mitchell has made two dangerous decisions, as Craig Ingram tightens his grip on the vulnerable teenager. In recent episodes, groomer Craig started blackmailing Denzel Fox-Danes with intimate photos he sent to Amy, threatening to expose the pictures unless he handed over £1,000.
Denzel went to great lengths to get the cash he needed, ultimately pawning a sentimental gift from his dad. But when Craig spotted Amy and Denzel together at Denzel’s birthday celebrations, he spitefully sent the photos to Howie and Kim anyway.

In today’s episode, Howie and Kim were shocked about the messages, while Denzel tearfully admitted that he sent the photos to Amy then blackmailers used them to scam him – and that he sold the ring to drum up the cash.
Amy headed to Craig’s flat and raged at him for his actions, saying that he has made things worse for them as Jack will do whatever it takes to get to the bottom of the situation.
Craig then suggested that Amy tells her dad that she was responsible for scamming Denzel, claiming that he’d have to leave and go on the run otherwise.
Conflicted about what to do, Amy went to see Denise in hospital. She admitted that her relationship with her mysterious man might be over as she’d messed it up, so Denise encouraged her to show him that she’s sorry.
Amy then made her decision and told her dad that she blackmailed Denzel. Jack was furious with her daughter and demanded her to tell Denzel what she did.

Denzel, Kim and Howie were stunned by Amy’s confession, as she claimed that she remembered Denzel wasn’t nice about her scars so wanted some control back.
Later, Jack told Amy to pay back the money, but she had to admit that the cash was gone, knowing that Craig allegedly used it to buy a new phone. This made Jack even more angry, and he remarked that Amy’s mum Roxy would be ashamed of her.
Jack went to the hospital and told Denise about the situation. Denise told him that Amy had been visiting her regularly and she had been seeing someone recently.

Meanwhile, Amy returned to Craig and told him that she’d followed his orders. When Craig said that he still needs to leave Walford, Amy revealed she has a trust fund containing £100,000 that she can access in a few weeks when she’s 18.
Amy suggested to Craig that she runs away with him and finds a way to get her money early, and the pair made plans to leave together. Will Jack be able to save his daughter before it’s too late?
