Tanishaa alleges arbitrary power cut: says MSEB cut Lonavala supply; appeals to CM

Tanishaa Mukerji has publicly raised a complaint about an electricity outage at her Lonavala home, alleging that her power supply was disconnected despite her claim that the electricity bill had been paid before the due date.

The actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticise the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) and urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other public representatives to intervene.

In her social media post, Tanishaa said her Lonavala home had been without electricity since Saturday evening. According to her post, MSEB officials disconnected the supply even though she claimed the bill had been cleared before the payment deadline.

The actor alleged that residents were being pressured through electricity disconnections and described the situation in strong terms.She wrote on X, “Maharashtra state electricity board in lonavala are behaving like mafia! They are giving huge bills and forcing payment by cutting off electricity. This is just criminal! Coming on a Saturday evening to cut off the electricity even if it is before the due date and just holding people hostage.”

Tanishaa further appealed to several public figures and authorities, including Fadnavis, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Tata Power, asking them to address what she described as a lack of regulation in Lonavala.“There is no regulation.
