EastEnders reveals when Ian Beale returns to Walford in new advanced spoilers

EastEnders has confirmed when Ian Beale will return to Walford after being off screen for some time. Viewers will remember that Ian is behind bars after accidentally hitting Jordan Fox with a car after Ross Marshall and Vicki Fowler's wedding.

While in prison, he has been at the centre of the Gray Atkins storyline as the villain drew him into his sinister plans, and things culminated last month in a scuffle that saw Ian stab Gray, though the latter survived.

We know that Kathy is helping Ian to appeal his sentence, with the new spoilers confirming he will be out of prison.

The spoilers for early next month now reveal that Ian will be back in Albert Square on 7 October. However, he is clearly struggling to open up about what he has been through, and gets some help from a new arrival.

Elsewhere, Nicola continues in her struggles with Ned and attempts to wind her up, while Linda tells her family about Max, though her concerns are raised as she worries her family isn't telling her everything.

Nicola continues to struggle with Ned. Linda receives a shock. Harvey tries to support Kathy.

Tuesday, 6 October - 7.30pm

Linda tells her family about Max. Ned tries to goad Nicola. Alfie wants to get through to Kat.

Wednesday, 7 October - 7.30pm

Linda worries, as she fears her family are not being honest with her. Ian returns to Walford. Nicola tries to support Ryder.

Thursday, 8 October - 7.30pm

Nicola and Ryder continue to bond. Ned helps Ian open up.

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
