Tom Hardy reunites with MobLand cast ahead of season 2 release after reports of filming issues

Tom Hardy has reunited with the cast of MobLand, following reports of filming issues earlier this year. The actor was thought to have left the series due to on set tensions while making season 2.

Fortunately for fans, disagreements were eventually ironed out, with Hardy agreeing to return for a potential third instalment - which was greenlit by Paramount+ this month.

Last night, the cast put on a united front at the world premiere of MobLand season 2. Hardy was seen on the red carpet, alongside his co-stars Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Joanne Froggatt, as well as director Guy Ritchie.

Speaking at the premiere, which took place in London, Brosnan addressed the rumoured clashes between Hardy and the producers. He described the situation as a "storm in a teacup", telling The Independent: "I love the dude. I love Tom Hardy. I'm a massive fan of the man's work. Truly."

"We are rock solid as a company, as a family," Brosnan continued. "Everyone shows up for work, and everybody's just there on the spot. It moves very fast so it's not like we go out and socialise and go to the pub or anything like that.

"Everyone goes home to their families and before you know it, you've done ten episodes."

Meanwhile, director Ritchie also praised the "magnificent" cast ahead of the screening, saying (via Variety): "It's been nothing other than a pleasure to work with these monsters of creativity. It's been nothing but a pleasure."

Season two will arrive on Paramount+ on 18 September, and will see the Harrigans struggle to put their differences aside "as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire".

"Harry Da Souza, their street-smart and formidable 'fixer,' must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions within the family intensify. As violence spills into every corner of their lives, loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy," the synopsis reads.

MobLand season 1 can be streamed on Paramount+ now, while season 2 premieres on 18 September.
