The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and All Progressives Congress governors have clashed over the Rainbow Coalition, with the governors rejecting any alliance that could undermine President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

Motorists on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway have been trapped in a 14-hour gridlock after a multiple-vehicle crash at the Kara Bridge compounded ongoing repair works.

Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole has said several factors beyond transfer fees and salaries may have prevented Premier League clubs from signing Victor Osimhen.

A man identified as Adejuwon Adekunle has been shot dead by gunmen near a recreation centre in the Dele Yes Sir community, Osogbo, Osun State.

Suspected armed herders have ambushed the entourage of the Divisional Police Officer in Ayilamo, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, killing two police officers.

And several Nigerian football stars, including Tolu Arokodare, Kelechi Iheanacho, Gift Orban and Samuel Chukwueze, have been reviving their club careers across Europe after difficult spells at previous clubs.
