Oxfordshire football club apologises after strippers accused of X-rated acts at ‘Wet and Wild’ event

A football club has been forced to apologise for a male strip show at its clubhouse after footage from the night emerged online.

The UK Pleasure Boys performed for dozens of women at Banbury United’s clubhouse on Saturday as part of their ‘Wet & Wild’ tour.

But images and videos that have since circulated on social media reportedly show male dancers in cowboy hats stripping and a sexual act appearing to take place between a dancer and an audience member.

Banbury United issued an apology to those in attendance after “part of the performance towards the end went beyond what we find acceptable at our venue”.

The promoter of the UK Pleasure Boys told local media it was investigating what happened during the show.

The UK Pleasure Boys, a Birmingham entertainment agency currently touring England, had promised a “western-themed fantasy brought to life with rugged charm, cheeky humour, and jaw-dropping choreography.

“Get ready to ride into the wildest night of your life with the UK Pleasure Boys' Wet & Wild Western Style Strip Show – where cowboy boots meet bare chests and the saloon doors swing open to pure, unfiltered entertainment,” it said on its website.

General admission tickets to the adults-only event cost £16.50, while VIP front row tickets cost £27.50.

It guaranteed audience participation “that'll have you hollering louder than a rodeo crowd” and professional dancers “with sculpted physiques, magnetic stage presence, and a playful sense of mischief that keeps the crowd roaring”.

“This isn't just a show - it's a full-on fantasy. Expect splashes, surprises, and steamy moments that'll leave you breathless. From rain-soaked routines to cowboy showers, it's a spectacle that turns up the heat and keeps it there.”

In a statement, Banbury United FC said: “We are aware of video clips circulating online from the UK Pleasure Boys’ ‘Wet & Wild’ show held at the clubhouse on Saturday 17th October. This was a ticketed, 18+ event.

“The images suggest that part of the performance towards the end went beyond what we find acceptable at our venue. We apologise to anyone in attendance who was offended.

“The venue was booked for that evening by an external promoter as part of a UK-wide tour. We are reviewing what happened and will revise our hire and conduct terms for performance events as a result.”

John Woodward, the manager of Adrenalin Promotions, which promotes the UK Pleasure Boys, told the Oxford Mail the company is currently investigating the claims.

“At the moment, we're still looking into different scenarios that may have happened,” Mr Woodward said.

“It's pretty clear to the guys that no sexual activities are acceptable at our show, and that's not standard stuff we would expect to happen.

“If there's a specific performer that's done something you're not supposed to, the performer would be taken out of the show.”

The Independent has contacted the UK Pleasure Boys for comment.
