Following the meeting, Soren announced the decision to cancel the JSSC-CGL examination, along with all other recruitment examinations conducted by private firm TDPL. “There have been some starting reveltations in the ongoing CID and SIT probes. After much of deliberations in the cabinet, it has been decided to cancel the JSSC CGL. All other exams conducted by TDPL will also be cancelled,” Soren said.

While the students protesting against irregularities celebrated the decision, aspirants who cleared the exam said they had the “seal of approval” of the Supreme Court and had joined through a “fair process”, and protested the decision.

“We joined through a fair process, so why is such a step being taken? We say: conduct an investigation. If any errors are found during the investigation, remove those specific individuals,” one of the protestors said.

Jharkhand protest LIVE: CJP convenor Abhijeet Dipke on Monday congratulated the student protesters in Jharkhand after the state government cancelled the JSSC-CGL examinations.
