Dexter: Resurrection season 2 is adding even more to its roster.
After 20 years, Dexter Morgan (played by Michael C. Hall) is returning for more in Dexter: Resurrection season 2 as everyone's favorite serial killer attempts to clean the streets of New York and build a life with his son Harrison (played by Jack Alcott). The franchise has been a major success, with the original series airing in 2006 and running for eight seasons. Due to its popularity, Dexter returned for three spinoffs, with one returning for its second season very soon.
During New York Comic Con, where ScreenRant's Jordan Williams was in attendance, the Dexter panel had a lot of surprises ahead of Resurrection season 2's release. One of the big announcements was a new casting announcement for the upcoming season not previously known by viewers. Professional wrestler and musician Chris Jericho will be appearing in the second season in a montage featured in season 2, episode 1, showing Dexter's latest victims.
Two decades since his killer debut, Dexter is still living by The Code, with a new season of Dexter: Resurrection arriving just in time for Halloween.
Jericho is no stranger to acting, as he previously appeared in the horror franchise Terrifier in its second and third installments. The wrestler portrayed the role of Miles County Psychiatric Hospital's orderly, Adam Burke. His return in Terrifier 3 after the sequel would've been the perfect preparation for Dexter's kill room as it's clear that Jericho will be a serial killer hunted down by New York's newest vigilante.
Alongside Hall, the series stars returning cast members Oscar Nominee and Golden Globe Winner Uma Thurman, Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, and James Remar. There are also other new cast members joining Dexter: Resurrection season 2, including Dan Stevens, Bokeem Woodbine, Nona Parker Johnson, Gabriel Luna, and Emmy, Olivier and Golden Globe winner Brian Cox.
Desmond Harrington is reprising his role as fan-favorite Joey Quinn, who was originally in the flagship series. Krysten Ritter is confirmed to be returning for Resurrection season 2 alongside Eric Stonestreet, which was announced during NYCC. However, at the time of writing, it's unclear what horrors await Dexter, but the panel has hinted at some major reunions, shocking reveals, and it being one of the best seasons yet for the franchise.
Dexter: Resurrection season 2 will arrive on Paramount+ on October 30 with seasons 1 and 2 available to stream now.
